I pay for premium and still occasionally will be connected to a free server automatically, and nearly every day it will just turn off without notifying me. You will spend more time staring at the ProtonVPN connect screen than you will spend using your search engine almost every time, and often through multiple server hops. Disconnects randomly, often won’t tell you, or will say it’s connected to a server but be unusable. I was hoping it was just me but I see many other comments with the exact same issues. Of course there are multiple tiers to choose from, I apparently picked the “pay for absolutely nothing” option. Somehow has become less reliable after I upgraded from the free version. Also, Mailspring seems to have quite a lot of internal state which sometimes means it trusts its own internal state more than bridge moving a message in a way which is disallowed by bridge is still reflected by Mailspring, and even restarting it doesn't retrigger a refetch of the messages in the Mailbox (it effectively gets permanently out of sync).Īll this is to say: we are getting there, but aren't quite there yet.Under no circumstances would I purchase this product. For example, Mailspring constantly tries to create folders where ProtonMail doesn't allow it to, which means snooze functionality is broken. However, I wouldn't yet say the experience with this build is "great". We have an internal build of bridge which replies with everything quoted (except INBOX) and this build seems to play quite nicely with Mailspring. You are correct that the crux of (one of) the issue(s) relates to quoted literals. And I agree with you, Mailspring is a wonderful mail client I myself am a fan. Going forward, we certainly do want to improve the experience of using more mail clients with bridge.
